August 13th, 2024 – Kiran Chawla joined "Local Leaders The Podcast" host Jim Chapman on what is the 201st episode of "Local Leaders" this week.

The Investigative Reporter, who in 2020 launched "Unfiltered with Kiran" as an all digital news source saw massive success shortly thereafter. In 2024 Kiran continued her quest to build her media empire by launching her podcast "Louisiana Unfiltered".

While "Unfiltered with Kiran" focuses on breaking news and live reports, "Louisiana Unfiltered" allows her large audience to get the stories behind the stories she covers with her "Unfiltered with Kiran" brand through long form interviews with guest, and "Docuseries" titles like her most recent "Hunting Games". This highly produced series covers the case of convicted serial killer Ryan Sharpe. 

In her appearance on "Local Leaders the Podcast" Kiran Chawla, who has won (14)  Edward R. Murrow Awards and (4) Emmy Awards discussed her early days as an intern, the challenges and rewards involved with reporting the truth as well as Kiran’s dedication to community involvement and the impact her company has made in the lives of others throughout the State of Louisiana.
